Would You Watch Them?

We have been accused of stalking NoName photographer by joining art sites. On the photographers profile biography page (4/20/07), as evidence of stalking, there is a claim that we followed her when we joined these artist websites, February 2006. Although we appreciate the thought, we didn't know the photographer even existed until June 2006. We learned about the photographer after we joined WebSite X and read a post she authored June 2, 2006 in reply to a thread started by Susan. The content of her post on WebSite X was (and still is) rather memorable as it was filled with profanity and demeaning language toward Susan.

Clearly the photographer wants someone to believe that we joined the art sites to 'watch her' LOL By the way, the WebSite X site is an artist community website created by the author of a demeaning and defaming website focused on Susan and myself. As you can see from the included graphic, WebSite X members come to our ArtWanted account and probably our other sites as well, and probably not because of glowing and wonderful comments in WebSite X forums about us. LOL

Note: Comments in the forums reveal much about the members. The site administrator tolerates defaming and denigrating postings by its members. Perhaps it is arrogance that causes folks to make these kinds of statements in public places.

We do check on those who check on us, especially those who have defamed and/or threatened us with bodily harm. We consider viewing their publicly posted content to be neither an invasion of privacy nor evidence of stalking. We check numerous websites (40+ per day), and some sites numerous times per day (20+). The photographer's pages on ArtWanted and Deviant Art are checked occasionally as is the defaming website and the authors images to see if any content has been added, edited, or deleted. We typically do this a few times a week or more frequently when content is added.

Overall our browsing their accounts/bios/art/pages represents less than 1% of our Internet browsing. We are far more interested in our art, plate tectonics, atmospheric conditions, solar conditions, and other artists, scientists, engineers, musicians, writers, and doctors we admire or know.

We believe that threats such as murder are not trivial and can not be dismissed in this or any court of public opinion. We believe that the threats of litigation are a form of thuggery intended to intimidate and frighten us. We believe the comment about money is also a form of intimidation, implying that she has sufficient money (in her biography) to cause us harm in some fashion (like claiming stalking as above).

Is it prudent to watch or observe those who communicate an intention of physical harm? What if the same NoName photographer posted a picture of a woman (herself?) holding a rifle on an art website during the same time period?
